Summer Art WorkshopsThe 2010 Summer Art Workshops have now concluded & our very talented Student’s work can be seen exhibited in the windows of the new Pendleton Building on the corner of Central & Broad through September 10th.

 

The first of the Art Central Foundation’s educational opportunities, the Summer Art Workshops offer classes to children with an interest in the visual arts, but with a financial need that prohibits them from attending traditional summer art camps.

 

 

The students are nominated by their school art teachers and go through a selection process to be accepted into the program. The class size is kept small so the children receive in depth instruction. There will be three classes a day, two for elementary students (grades 3-5) & one for junior high students (grades 6-8). Four different subjects are offered: 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, clay & fine craft. These classes are free to the children selected.
